David’s Prayer
February 28, 2010
2 Samuel 7:20-22
And what more can David say to thee? For thou knowest thy
servant, O Lord God! Because of thy
promise, and according to thy own heart, thou hast wrought all this greatness,
to make thy servant know it. Therefore thou art great, O Lord God; for there is
none like thee, and there is no God besides thee, according to all that we have
heard with our ears.
We are a humble and obedient servants of you God, for you know us well. He knows
us better than we know ourselves and let us be happy for what he has done for us
and our community of friends and relatives. God's word is the truth and we must
listen with our hearts and minds and not to be snared by godless temptations. So
let us rejoice and give thanksgiving every day as we fulfill God's work.
For the community;
Thank you Lord for the gift of our community in which we live in today. Thank
you Lord for bringing special people into our lives that we live and share this
life together. Help those who are ill, lonely, and those who need special
needs. We must also pray for the young people who were once in our churches and
decided to leave them for many different reasons. Amen
