Give us this day our daily bread.

Matthew 6:11

God will always provide for His children, because He loves us. That does not mean that you can just sit around and expect God to take care of all your needs. We have to work to accomplish what needs to be done, always trusting and believing God will provide for us.

Jesus is the perfect example. He traveled all over, performing miracles and teaching others about salvation, but even our perfect Savior had no place to live. During His forty day fast in the desert, Jesus refused to be tempted into turning away from His Father. Instead, He chose to let God provide for His basic needs by trusting and believing in Him.

Every day, doing our best and believing with all our heart that God will provide our daily bread, during abundant times or hard, is essential to our Christian faith.

Prayer: Lord, we pray that as individuals and as a community, we will always trust you to provide for our every need, as you see best for us. In Jesus name, Amen.
