Jesus’ prayer                                                              March 29, 2010

John 17:6-10

I have made your name known to those whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything you have given me is from you; for the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. I am asking on their behalf; I am not asking on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those whom you gave me, because they are yours. All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them.

I have truly been blessed this past year with many wonderful events.  My first great niece came into the world, small and early, and she is a survivor!  Jazmyn is now 9 months old and has more fat rolls than I do!  My mom and dad celebrated 50 years of marriage - and they still like each other!  And my mom is still with me today as she continues to battle and beat cancer!  What blessing these events have been for me and my family.  I am sure that the power of prayer has made all these things possible.  There is no other explanation.

Dear God,

Thank you so much for the community that I live in.  There are so many caring people here who reach out to each other in times of need and in times of happiness.  Thank you for the power of prayer.  Amen.
